From Oobleck to Speed!

We finished up our Chemistry unit by making Oobleck. Students enjoyed observing the different properties of it and many probably tried to make more at home! Our Motion unit included a lab on 'Speed'. They calculated the speeds of various balls of different masses and then of themselves while jumping on one leg. We were able to enjoy beautiful weather outside for this lab. And finally, a student brought me a monarch caterpillar a few weeks ago and we were able to observe its stages from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. It was successfully released this week and might now be in your neighborhood!
