Reviewing the Metric System by Using Our Math Skills!

 

 

This week the students worked with metric units measuring and doing conversions between units. They also created data sets with pennies and then found mean, median, mode and range with their data.

Design and Engineering Boat Lab

Here are pictures from our lab last week. We designed boats to hold the most marbles. The students made several prototypes and had a float-off  with their best one. We took our results and after calculating their boats value, did a cost analysis chart to see whose boat was the most cost efficient.
