Skeletal Models and Blood Type Lab

We have started our Body Systems Unit and the students have been busy! We recently made skeletal models that were color coded as to the type of bones, joints, and connective tissue represented.  This week we dicovered the compatibility of the different blood types through a lab on transfusions.

Roller Coasters Were Amazing!!!

The students did an amazing job building their roller coasters this year! We emphasized the use of recyclable materials and their creativity was unlimited! While they all deserved to receive an award, we only gave out one each period for student voted favorite and I gave out two for 'Best Use of Recyclable Materials'.  Here are the roller coasters that received awards~

Lots of Learning Labs Lately!

We've covered a lot of material the last couple of weeks in our chemistry unit. We've had labs on Making Molecules, Oobleck, and Chromatography.

One Week Left for First Quarter Aluminum Can Drive!

We have collected over 8000 cans so far! 7th grade students should be proud! We announced a couple of weeks ago that all money earned will be donated to the new food backpack program that the FCA is doing for the JH and HS students.  It is being funded through donations and we are excited to be able to help!
