Chicks have hatched!

Students have had the opportunity to learn about poultry from the egg to the chick. We started with learning how an egg is formed, dissecting eggs, incubating eggs, candling eggs, to finally seeing the end result- chicks! We had 17 chicks hatch this week and they are growing quickly.

Heart Dissections and Taste Buds Labs

Last month we enjoyed performing a couple of different labs while in the Body Systems Unit. We dissected sheep hearts while studying the cardiovascular system, and had a lab investigating different taste buds while studying the nervous system. Special thanks to parent volunteers during the heart dissections!

Roller Coaster Project

Students did a fantastic job creating roller coasters. They were very creative in utilizing inexpensive and recyclable materials. Great job to all!!!
